Curriculum – Podar Jumbo Kids

Podar Jumbo Kids, the Kiducation Philosophy Early Childhood Center, is a research hub for early childhood education and represents a new era in early childhood education that places a strong emphasis on the development of the brain, creative teaching methods, parental involvement, and age-appropriate curriculum. The best educational philosophies, practices, and theories, including those of Montessori, Play Way, Reggio Emilia, Glenn Doman, Rudolf Steiner, and Finnish Early Years Philosophies, are also combined in our curriculum. Over time, Podar Jumbo Kids’ teaching-learning initiatives have been acknowledged internationally at early childhood forums and compared to top global practices.

Early childhood education at Podar Jumbo Kids is also founded on extensive research and development and global early childhood approaches. We have adopted the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage Practice) (UK), promoting inquiry and experiential constructive learning, aesthetic and creative development, outdoor learning experiences, science, information, and communication technology in the learning and development of children from ages 2 to 6 years.

The EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) is the United Kingdom’s curriculum framework. It sets out and defines the following:

The 7 areas of learning and development that guide professionals’ engagement with your child’s play and activities as they learn new skills and knowledge.

The EYFS Framework explains how and what your child will be learning to support their healthy development. Your child will be learning skills, acquiring new knowledge, and demonstrating their understanding through 7 areas of learning and development.

The Podar Jumbo Kids curriculum is designed to encourage learning outcomes that focus on nurturing children to develop holistically, morally, aesthetically, and globally, including knowledge acquisition and academic skills. Based on the EYFS curriculum, these learning outcomes are divided into the following, and in-depth assessments are done at each age stage on every area of learning:
  • Personal competencies and social development
  • Language and literacy skills
  • Early numeracy skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Creative development
  • Understanding information and communication technology
  • Physical skills and competencies
The 7 areas of learning and development are used to plan your child’s learning and activities. The professionals teaching and supporting your child will make sure that the activities are suited to your child’s unique needs. This is a little bit like a curriculum in primary and secondary schools, but it’s suitable for very young children, and it’s designed to be really flexible so that staff can follow your child’s unique needs and interests.
Children should mostly develop the 3 prime areas first. These are:
  • Communication and language;
  • Physical development; and
  • Personal, social and emotional development.
ASSESSMENT BASED ON EYFS AT PODAR JUMBO KIDS
In-depth Portfolios of each child’s work, activities, and checklists of developmental milestones are maintained and shared regularly with parents. Included are also checkpoints from EYFS.
“Our Programs”

Our “Kiducation Curriculum” promotes holistic learning that develops all 7 essential areas of learning. The goal of our curriculum is to promote a personalized and differentiated early childhood education for children aged 2 to 6 years of age.
Playgroup – 2 years | Nursery – 3 years

Early Years

Early Years Age Groups for the session starting in April / June:

  • Playgroup: 2 years
  • Nursery: 3 years

The “Early Years Program” at Podar Jumbo Kids promotes age-appropriate, holistic development, focusing on nurturing each child’s communication and language skills, creative expression, and physical, self, and social development. Brain stimulation is at its peak at this age, and thus activities that nurture brain development are implemented at this age in developmentally appropriate ways like play, language, and exploration activities.

Activities are designed to help the early year’s children learn by making sense of things and people around them, investigate the world, form relationships, and engage in active social interactions. Early years learning in the Nursery class ensures a smooth transition to the more structured and skill-driven learning expectations of the kindergarten years.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten age Groups for the session starting in April / June:

  • Junior Kindergarten: 4 years
  • Senior Kindergarten: 5 years

In the Kindergarten groups, the prime focus of our curriculum now revolves around the emergent strategies of the early years and the purposeful acquisition and understanding of content, skills, and concepts in literacy, numeracy, knowledge, and understanding of the world.

Our Kindergarten curriculum nurtures and supports children’s interest, curiosity, and their natural quest for knowledge, leading to the development of skills in problem solving, inquiry, investigation, discovery, and active hands-on exploration. In our kindergarten curriculum, even though learning is based on play and exploration, it is very well structured and integrated across multiple disciplines of language, math, science, writing, and technology. This is done to meet expectations for holistic goals, the development of life skills, dispositions, and attitudes, as well as academic achievements.

The “Young Entrepreneurs Program” is also an exceptional initiative at Podar Jumbo Kids. It opens children’s minds to the many opportunities that are available to them and also creates the mindset that, by using creativity and critical thinking skills, they have the ability to chart their own path ahead. Through creating their own business modules, children acquire leadership skills and also understand the importance of teamwork. They are provided with a platform to become entrepreneurs who will succeed through taking initiative, working hard, and, in turn, building a better world by giving back to society and contributing to its growth.

Day Care

Balancing your professional life with adequate caregiving for your child can be challenging for a working parent. It’s even more challenging if your job doesn’t permit work-hour flexibility. You may also feel constrained by your inability to boost your child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Our well-trained carers and educators act as second parents to each child, ensuring that developmental needs are met in a loving, secure, and stimulating environment.

Mother Toddler

This programme includes fun learning methods for children aged 12 to 24 months that aid in brain development through multi-sensory activities, allowing the children to make a smooth transition to nursery school. The curriculum also includes elements of Play Way, Montessori, Reggio, Froebel, and EYFS blended learning.
