The 2nd of August is a milestone day in the history of Podar Group of Schools, as the Founders Day is celebrated to mark the 97th year of Podar Schools, since its establishment in 1927. The Podar Group of Schools was founded by the eminent philanthrope Sheth Anandilal Podar, in collaboration with the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
As the very first President of the Anandilal Podar Trust, Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution to the Podar Education Group stands testimony to the fact (View the minutes of the first Trust meeting.) that at Podar, traditional Indian values of honesty, integrity and service, and a zeal to touch new horizons, form the foundation stones upon which young minds are nurtured.
Even after 97 years, we follow Mahatma’s teachings and philosophies with the same amount of sincerity as we did at its inception with the vision, dedication, and desire to uplift India. Being the only educational group in India that can claim such a strong heritage we are the flag bearers of his vision, mission and principles in the education space.
At Podar, the initiative that started with a single school in a Pre Independent India, is today a multi-school, multi-city, multi-brand entity that is ambitiously executing a growth strategy at par with the current global standards. Podar today is a trusted name and an acknowledged leader in the collective effort to shape the future of our children, and for the nation.
We will forever be indebted to Sheth Anadilal Podar for his selfless and tireless contribution to the field of nation building and education with a strong commitment to serving the nation with humility and ensuring each child entrusted to Podar exceeds their inherent potential.
